Lostwithiel Town Band

The band rehearses on a Monday evening at Lostwithiel Community centre and we welcome new and returning players.We have a wide repertoire from traditional brass band music, traditional Cornish tunes, musical theatre scores and popular music. We perform at a variety of events from local Gala days, carnivals, Flora, concerts, fundraising events, community celebrations and private bookings.

In the Spring of 2025 we have launched a new initiative to deliver free tuition and instruments for people of all ages from 7 years old to come and learn a range of brass instruments with a view to join the training band and the main band. We provide professional music and percussion tutors for new learners and ongoing development of existing players. Lessons will be conducted on A Thursday evening from 4.30pm onwards at the Social Club on Fore Street. To Register your interest please contact us via our contact page

Our mission is to inspire the local community by supporting initiatives designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to get involved in music and to create a positive impact in the local community and provide and opportunities for all Lostwithiel Town Band is dedicated to supporting the local community through music.

Our aim is to provide essential learning and development of new and returning brass players of all ages. We believe that every person deserves the opportunity to thrive through the art of music with access to music for all regardless of background.
